Thanks Merrill. I have LC, 11 months; this second bout worse and longer than the first. Debilitating fatigue, exercise intolerance, muscle weakness, dizziness, dyspnea, arrhythmias, and more. Autoimmune, autonomic nervous system, and mitochondrial dysfunction. I joke that I don't have brain fog unless I'm so befogged that I can't tell. Maybe I shouldn't joke about that. Clearly there is a thick collective medical/societal/political fog around long Covid. LC is probably an explosion of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome--ME/CFS--in the past a long-term result of other viral and bacterial infections. The medical profession is now taking notice of increased ME/CFS, partly because, like Alveida himself, they are experiencing it themselves or witnessing it among their families and friends. But many doctors, including my own, are pretty clueless or even dismissive. Even high up in HHS/FDA--Vinay Prasad for one. RFK Jr. says one of his sons has LC. A lot of good that will do.
