See the article in this link for an example of a private primary and family medicine practice relying entirely on patients covered by Medicaid for its revenues and earning a surplus to re-invest - including in a dental practice still to break even. This model will obviously be opposed by the large health and insurance corporations and private equity investors who are so focused on immediate high returns at the cost of service and the public good.
